Saltzman
Executive Director, Chairman
Lawrence Saltzman has more than 20 years' experience working with public and private-sector organizations in both the United States and Canada to develop lasting solutions that bring the cutting edge into the mainstream. In 1990 he was at at the US Naval Research Laboratory in Washington DC doing applied research in web-based graphics. Beginning in 1992, Saltzman worked for many years as a principal at de Sanbor Consulting. As a thought leader and consultant, Saltzman provided expanded vision and rare expertise to clients ranging from the World Health Organization to IBM Research. Saltzman returned to government work in 2004 to manage Team Puget Sound, a landmark pilot inter-departmental program to connect DoD medical data systems to those of the VA. Upon his relocation to Toronto in 2007, he served as Director of Client Delivery Services and Operations in Canada for Carefx, the Arizona-based leader in context-management and medical-data services. His experience in not-for-profit began in 1992 when he served on the Board of Friends of COSSMHA (Coalition of Spanish-Speaking Mental Health Organizations) and the founding Boards of NAHN (National Association of Hispanic Nurses) and OLASW (Organization of Latin-American Social Workers). Today he is a member of the Policy Committee of the National Health IT Collaborative for the Underserved and participates in mentoring and professional societies in management and healthcare technology.
 
Reginald Wayne
Humphries
Director of Membership and Affiliate Relations
Reginald Wayne Humphries brings more than 20 years' experience in healthcare public relations, communications, marketing and relationship building in the health information technology field to IHITA. He has a deep history of associations with major organizations in the US federal government and the private sector ranging from TRICARE to the Healthcare Information Management and Systems Society (HIMSS). Currently at the Armed Forces Services Corporation, he serves as strategic communications lead on military health and veterans' transition projects, following a position as Manger of Public Policy Initiatives at the HIMSS Foundation Institute for e-Health Policy. He has previously served as a Communications and Marketing Specialist for AHLTA, and has led communications efforts for major Health IT organizations including UVA Health Sciences Center, Virginia Health Policy Center and TRICARE. He holds both a Bachelors and a Masters degrees from the University of Virginia. In 2008, he founded Healthcare Innovation and Transformation (H.I.T.) Communications, providing communications management services to Health IT organizations in the public and private sectors. Today, he is a leading member of the National Health IT Collaborative for the Underserved and the Rural Health IT Coalition.
 
Helen L.
Hill
Director of Integration Initatives
Helen L. Hill, FHIMSS, is the recipient of the HIMSS 2009 John A. Page Award and a nationally recognized expert in healthcare information technology, health information exchange, identity assurance and healthcare public policy. She currently serves as Director of IT Consulting and Health Information Exchange at the Henry Ford Health System (HFHS) in Detroit, MI, where she has been a member of senior IT leadership since 2001. Ms. Hill, long a leader in healthcare technology in Michigan and the nation, has an extensive record of successful event planning, publications, white papers and executive presentations for local, regional, state and national healthcare IT conferences and webinars. __She is a founder and leader of the Southeast Michigan Health Information Exchange (SEMHIE) and is currently Co-Program Manager for SEMHIE's Public-Private Initiatives, including SSA e-Disability Claims and the Beacon Collaborative. Ms. Hill represents HFHS and SEMHIE on the Michigan Coalition for Health IT (MCHIT), a state-wide coalition of healthcare organizations that pursues HIT/HIE opportunities, and on the Governance Committee for the State of Michigan's state-level HIE initiative. __She is an active member of the Health Information Systems Society (HIMSS), where she was named 2005 Chapter leader of the Year for her work in Michigan, and where she is currently a member of the Senior Public Policy Leadership team and the Legislation/Regulation Review Task Force. She also serves as the HIMSS Liaison to the HIE Committee. In addition, Ms. Hill dedicates time to the National Collaborative for HIT for the Underserved, as well as representing both HIMSS and SEMHIE on the Kantara Initiative Identity Assurance Work Group (IAWG). Before joining Henry Ford, Ms. Hill consulted with Medstat (now Thomson Reuters Healthcare), Sheldon Dorenfest and worked at Catherine McAuley Health Center in Ann Arbor, where she served first as Manager of Planning and then of Systems Development. Ms. Hill holds memberships and/or senior roles in HIMSS, ACHE, National Collaborative for HIT for the Underserved (Policy Committee), MPRO Board, Michigan Coalition for HIT (MCHIT), Southeast Michigan Health Information Exchange (SEMHIE), Southeast Michigan Beacon Community Collaborative (SEMBCC), Michigan Health Information Network (MiHIN) Governance Committee for state-level HIE, Kantara Initiative Identity Assurance Work Group, Object Management Group, HITSP and M-Women. She holds an AB from the University of Michigan.

Ross Anderson is results-driven marketer with 25 years of global experience in the disciplines of marketing and sales, strategy consulting and new venture/product development. He is currently a partner and the Chief Strategy Officer for Doublespace, a leading brand and integrated marketing communications agency in New York City. He is also a partner and serves on the Board of Lightbridge Media, an early stage multi-channel media and lifestyle company serving the integrative health and wellness market. Previously, Mr. Anderson was a co-founder and the Executive Vice President/CMO for IdeaSphere Inc., a global roll-up of single-focus health and wellness brands whose partners included Anthony Robbins, the world's leading authority on the psychology of peak performance. In all, he has successfully led the marketing efforts for the launch of five start-up companies totaling more than $600MM in venture transactions. His strategy work with DuPont led them to make a highly successful early-stage investment in WebMD. Earlier in his career, he served as Managing Director of a boutique management consultancy affiliated with Marketing Corporation of America, which focused on delivering competitive advantage through customer-focused business strategies. He was an early thought-leader on the applications of database mining and quantitative marketing strategies. As a consultant, Mr. Anderson advised senior management at Fortune 500 and start-up companies across multiple industry sectors. Prior to becoming a consultant, he served as a Vice President with Citicorp.
